Andrew Matejcic, CAHR Executive Director
|Andrew has been the Executive Director for the Canadian Association for HIV Research (CAHR) since Fall 2011. Before joining CAHR, Andrew worked for the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) since its creation in 2000. At CIHR, Andrew held various positions including Director of Communications, Senior Policy Advisor and most recently as Associate Director for the CIHR HIV/AIDS Research Initiative (2008-2011), the arm of CIHR which is responsible for the $22.5 million that CIHR receives annually via the Federal Initiative to Address HIV/AIDS in Canada and the Canadian HIV Vaccine Initiative. Before his tenure at CIHR, Andrew worked on Parliament Hill.
Shelley Mineault, CAHR Manager

|Shelley joined CAHR in September 2010. Along with CAHR’s other Manager, and working under the leadership of the CAHR Executive Director, she plays a key role in planning, coordinating and implementing various projects aimed to achieve CAHR’s mandate. Shelley’s background is in international development with a particular focus on global health and global health research. Her previous professional experience focused on youth health promotion, focusing on HIV/AIDS prevention, drug and alcohol harm reduction, smoking cessation, physical activity, healthy nutrition, gender equality, and mental health.
Erin Love, CAHR Manager

|Erin officially joined the CAHR staff in June 2012. Along with CAHR’s other Manager, and working under the leadership of the CAHR Executive Director, she plays a key role in planning, coordinating and implementing various projects aimed to achieve CAHR’s mandate. Before joining CAHR, Erin worked in the Divisions of Infectious Diseases and Psychiatry at The Ottawa Hospital. Her background is in Education, with a specialization in Biology and Physical and Health Education.
